The National Labor Relations Board election scheduled for October 20-21 has been postponed indefinitely because of the federal government shutdown.
What this means to you
You still have the right to campaign for, or against, Teamsters representation on non-work time in non-work areas
Union organizers may continue to approach you for support
You have the right to tell them to leave you alone if you are not interested
If you signed a union authorization card or petition and have changed your mind, you will have the right to vote NO when the election is rescheduled
What happens next
The NLRB, a federal government agency, plans to postpone elections until Congress passes a bill to fund the government or special legislation authorizing the agency to resume normal operations.
